Oh no! Spike's demon took over, and he wasn't prepared to that. This is such a traumatic experience for young and innocent Spike. I loved how gently Buffy helped him snap out of it and calmed him down.

“Oh, Spike,” she murmured. “How you’ve grown. But you’re still my little boy, aren’t you?”

It's interesting to see Buffy trying to balance somewhere between romantic feelings and something that can only be called maternal feelings. That must be very confusing to her, and she really needs to be careful! (And Spike sure isn't helping the situation... ;) ) I wonder what they'll think about all this after Spike is back to normal.

Looking forward to the next chapter! *glomps again*

Hello lovely! How was your birthday?! I would have posted it on your birthday but I knew that I wouldn't be able to get online, and I'm not really a fan of belated birthday presents! I think earlier is always better :) I did wish that the chapter would have been slightly happier though! Oh well, what's most important is that you enjoyed it at least a little :)

I took a little parallel from S7 crazy basement Spike, because being a teenager is pretty much like being crazy (well, it is from my experience)! It was a great chappie to write though, so I am glad that I used it as your "present". Yes, you're pretty much spot on with Buffy's conflicting feelings, Spike's next transitional stage will definitely help her sort them out! Or so I've planned. But there's still another chappie of teenage!Spike so she's going to have to be careful still for a while!

Being a teen and a vampire makes for a dangerous combination. Impulse control is a problem for teens. Add a demon to the mix and it's really an issue.

Buffy's insight into Spike has grown so much. Before she had just shut down on her feelings about him and shoved him away. Now she is really looking into him and finding who he is. Bravo.

I love the way you sum up all their feelings and problems so concisely! I don't think I could do it as well as you, and I'm supposed to be completely on top of it all (it being my story and all!).

It's all because of the nurturing, mothering role she played early on I'd say. Seeing that he's needed care just like any other person has helped her to overcome his demon. And now she's seeing that the demon is capable of destroying the man that she's been lucky enough to see and that just won't do!

This! I didn't even see this because LJ hates me! Except now I did, and I'm so glad =) And oh, poor, darling Spike. Losing control like that and not understanding. But it's good that Buffy is there for him and is being so understanding, it's good that she's opening up to him and being compassionate and letting him into her heart, because now they're building something so good together. You've been letting them have such beautiful moments together and being oh, so very nice to them <3

Okay, now time to ask the stupid question.
When exactly is this? Because I feel like I'm correct in saying that this is a) set in S6 and b) before things got physical between them.
Or! could it be season 5 towards the endish when she's all, I trust Spike but loving him is ridiculousness? Except that doesn't make any sense because there's no way S5 Dawn would help with a spell. But Willow's not living with them?
I've decided this must be some crazy alternate universe. because I feel dumb. the end.

Haha, you're adorable! But also very astute, S6 is right! I had a bit of trouble establishing that myself when I was planning the fic, and in the end it seemed like the most appropriate placing for it :)
