Haha okay... I'm not sure about the distinctions myself, either. Because I've been told by some people that it's just the difference between the British and the American methods and by others that it's about sex of the person being described, etc. etc. etc. Which I guess doesn't make sense to me because word tells me blond in the possessive isn't a word but it work's fine with the e and I AM SO CONFUSED ABOUT THE WHOLE THING.

But I guess it doesn't matter THAT MUCH.

Ahaha, maybe it is! Because I'm Canadian, and we use British spelling and stuff. Or maybe that's the way it is in French, and I got it confused with English? (Not that I know any French, despite taking years of it in school. =P)

All of the above, actually? It's british usage to refer to males as "blond" and females as "blonde", while american english typically doesn't bother with any distintion by sex. The difference does in fact stem from the french.
