I love this! I love that even when he tells himself he isn't one of them, even when he leaves them behind, he's still an 11th division member, through and through. He's still a thug!

Being an 11th stays deep-rooted. I guess no amount of lessons or training can erased that. This is your second(?) Iba and Komamura fic, I believe. Really nicely done.

I like this. Canon-wise, we've seen even less of Iba than we have of Shuuhei, but everything you have in here fits very smoothly with what we know. I also like how Iba's adjustment to the Seventh, while not smooth, wasn't exactly painful, either.

And I really do think Komamura would be a really nice, respectable captain to work under, so I don't see the transition as being rough so much as... very, very different. But that's what makes the possibility of a lot of Iba fic interesting to me, I guess. XD
