Balthazar! And uh-oh, that whole business about Cas' grace doesn't sound good, and yay, Crowley mentions~ The very thought of Cas watching Dr Sexy with Dean is adorable.

Something I'm really enjoying about this fic is the way you set up all the scenes and lay down just enough pieces of detail that it provides intrigue in trying to figure out the case right along with the boys, and then it all fits together at the end without being too obvious along the way. That's a hard balance to get right.

I really liked the way this shard was represented, and the glimpses of the football players Darren and Cam and their relationship. Really neat way to use the shard and for Cas to regain it. Also, bonus Crowley and Growley at the end, and a nice flash of Supernatural-style violence and gore. Also an awesome chapter.

Oh yay, this chapter was really hard for me to figure out in terms of how they were going to find faith, so I'm glad Darren and Cam worked out. ;_;

When you have faith in Dean, all things are possible. That's totally canon. :D I'm so happy to see Crowley! What would Supernatural be without some gore and some snarky demons?

Best. Ever.

Dean sighs and heads back in the direction of the hotel while Cas drools into his t-shirt like he owns it.

One of the worst things about the boys' universe auroramama May 21 2012, 10:38:41 UTC
You've beautifully captured the annoying way that powerful supernatural beings complain to the Winchesters about everything that's wrong in the universe:

1) You are insignificant little dust motes with bad manners.
2) Why haven't you fixed the universe yet?

I guess it's similar to the other complaint:

1) You are helpless puppets of your destiny.
2) Stop screwing things up!

Also, just to praise:
he keeps wanting to try out Michael Westen spy techniques on hunts and it never goes their way because monsters don’t adhere to the same basic psychology that people do.
Hee! And Michael doesn't adhere to the psychology that Winchesters do.
