There's something really melancholy about this piece - splendid writing as usual, but it's very sad in a way.

When I started it I didn't mean for it to be sad, but then I got to that "half in this world" line and it kind of just spiraled downward from there for some reason. o.o

LOL WELL. I have to do a two page novel type closer for the doujin. Maybe you could do a splash page illustration for it?

I do totally coo at the ending, where Doumeki gives half his heart -- but my favorite part of this fic is the beginning, where you show Doumeki and his maybe, don't, and come backs. That was brilliant.
