Beautiful and touching. :) I hope we get to see the relationship between Byakuya and Rukia continue to grow. I'm looking forward to seeing Byakuya unbend enough for it to happen, too.

Schwwweeeeeetttt, I wanna hug Byakuya too.

I like the line 'A man who had everything he needed, wanted nothing he didn’t, and who considered himself first a soldier and never the prince everyone else did.'

It describe Byakuya well. He is a born aristrocat who is proud of his lineage, not an arrogant because of his status.
