✦The First Strike

Nov 06, 2009 16:47

[There seems to be a man lying somewhat limply on one of the seats. His pilot suit is torn in areas and his helmet is cracked. Although he seems to be out cold, eventually he stirs. Sitting up, he removes his helmet, showing a head of blond hair encrusted with dried blood.]

I'm... alive. Where...? [He looks around, confused. A thought comes to mind ( Read more... )

[There's an assassin Yuri sitting nearby, leaning back and staring at the roof. Not that you'd notice, since his nice hat is covering his eyes. His curiousity is piqued by the mention of Rita and Raven, though he ends up writing it off as a coincidence sinice he hasn't looked at you yet.]

Your friends are by your side no longer. You'd best get used to it -- it'll be a long while before you can see them again.

[Yuri rolls his eyes, glaring at Flynn.]

Do I really have to sit here and explain it to you, or what?

[Stares back impassively.]

It would help if you clarified some things.

Listen well, I'm only saying this once

[He sighs, glancing at him almost apathetically.]

You're on a train. It somehow crosses dimensions and can take people from different worlds. Sometimes, you'll encounter someone who looks like someone you know, but may act and think differently, as we have so eloquently demonstrated.

Any questions?

[It honestly sounds like something out of a science-fiction book due to the sheer craziness of it. But it was either that or he was turning into a schizophrenic.]

Is there any way to get off of this train? There are still some things I have to take care of.

[Yeah, well, Yuri's whole AU is a mindfuck, so there. B|]

Not that we know of. We're still looking.

Better make yourself comfortable, Flynn -- I've been stuck here for at least a few months now.

Wouldn't it be possible to get the conductor to stop it and drop us off, then? Someone has to run this.

[Makes a move to go to into another car.]

That's the thing. No one's found this "conductor" yet.

[Yuri's bored, so you get an immortal assassin following you now!]

We'll just have to get to the front of the train. [It can't be that hard, right? And yay, tag-alongs!]

Awwww, okay! Good night! /o/ bloody_justice November 7 2009, 06:47:06 UTC
Hmm.

[Yuri frowns, continuing to follow Flynn out of boredom.]

...

...what did you mean, when you said that I'd, er, exploded?

[Ouch. Even if Flynn himself had mentioned it, having him recall that moment is still like tearing at an open wound, considering how recently it happened.]

...You had sortied against your orders because we had needed assistance. But you were already injured from your previous battle, so you were at a disadvantage. ...By the time I had arrived, it was already too late. You had left your mobile suit and the part you were standing on had exploded.

[Sorry, Flynn. Yuri's not exactly good at tact, no matter the verse.]

...

...I see.

Talk about a showy way for me to go, though.

I guess... that's one way to think about it. [If that was supposed to cheer him up, it didn't really work.]

Hmmm.

[We're talking about an immortal assassin demi-god here, Flynn. Emotions isn't really his strong suit.]

What is your world like?

It's full of war. Countries fight each other without considering the consequences to the people and only think of what they could gain. ...Recently, an organization that calls itself "Brave Vesperia" has tried intervening in battles to try and stop the fighting.

[Yuri perks up at the name, though he doesn't exactly show it.]

Brave Vesperia...? In my world, that was the name of the government's assassin's guild that I somehow became the head of.

What an interesting anomaly of our worlds.
