[Sam is sitting in the far corner of a car set to look like a 1960's ice cream parlor. Unlike most days, he's not wearing his usual college-boy getup, but rather something more casual, if a lot a bit outdated: brown slacks, a lose white shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbow, and suspenders, although they're hanging at his sides.
Everything about this car reminds him of home: the decor, the jazzy music, the overall atmosphere. Even if the windows depict a rather rainy fall day outside, instead of the depths of the ocean.
For once, he's not busily pouring over his notes, research, or science experiments. Rather, he's actually steadily sketching on some paper he picked up from the arts and crafts car.
