I've no idea what that's about re j_dav and the ferret but I truly enjoyed reading this - loved the imaginings I am now surreally entertaining - and that j_dav got such a special mention on her birthday.

A fine outfit. I love sewing, though not as adventurously as that. A very fat and happy wombat, the most placid of my stuffed companions *g* I suspect not too bright - a wombat Winnie-the-Pooh, maybe, though not as poetic... The floppy dog is the ironic one of the collection, slightly sad. The lamb is the innocent, interested sweetie. Hmm.

I've always fancied a live ferret - good pets, so I hear. You know the TV ferret famous for dangling by the teeth sunk into the interviewer's thumb while he swung it in circles trying to shake it off? And continued trying to interview the owner? The funniest thing...
