On Monday, ilv2laff, gotmoof and I went to Saji-Ya for sushi. It was fun a laid back evening with two of my house mates. Unfortunately, due to a communication error on my part, stpaulcub25 didn't make it. Tim did a nice post on it here: Well-Stuffed Kow.

more than one Bear social club in town? My own Bear is actually making noises about wanting to go out more, get to know some folks (read: guys) in a more social, non-pick-up setting. Not that he'd take any suggestions from ME (what is it about spouses & advice?), but I have more indirect methods of sneaking info past him. ;-)

Ummmmm? Did I miss a detail? We may need to compared notes. Is your honey on LJ? There's one main bear club right now, but several social subsets. The formal group does host regular non-bar events as well.

I saw Hamster listed in a list of 50 Foods one should try before one dies. Of the 50, only this and another (I forget which), I had not tried. But we must becareful of mentioning such things. My sister's hamster, Biscuit, would be displeased.

There's a Sushi Bar here which has a "John Wayne Roll" which is grilled beef rolled up with rice and seaweed and maybe some veggies. I remember it being very, very good, if odd for sushi since it was cooked beef.

But I love Italian carpaccio, maybe there could be a way to make that into a roll, now that's an idea!
