Some of my more astute readers may have noted a quote from one of these productions in the base configuration of this journal. This is a movie that I think all gay men should see. I like to think of it as charity. Someone has to make music which actually is improved by people doing it Karaoke.

It's like Gay 101. I can't put my finger on any definitive bit to say "that" makes it gay, but the whole surely is most fabulous.

Both are fun... but of course, one was a musical and the other was a comedy.

Good lord, does anyone actually think the LB version is better? I love lucy (giggle) but that movie is almost unwatchable.

As much as I love Auntie Mame I do wish that bears in general would read the memo about "Life's a banquet..." quotes in their profiles. NO NO NO!

I think they were trying to mirror the Broadway version a bit, but then, yeah, it did kind of have the feel of her show, didn't it. I guess somethings some with time, like baggage.

Love the icon! Re: "life's a banquet" do you mean bears that over eat? Or the number of them that don't adventure? Or is this a sex addition thing (ala Amy Winehouse)?

Clearly you must see this movie. Your life will not be complete without it. It's a tad on the long side, but it's fabulous. I may have to organize a movie night for it.
