On two different occasions when I defended myself from being robbed, when the cops arrived, they YELLED at me for fighting back.

When I fought back against Dirty White Boy the cop wanted to know why I did it. I told him "I don't let vermin get away with that shit". The cop got all excited. "Is Vermin his first name or his last name?" When I told the cop what vermin meant he got mad at me and accused me of making up words.

I think ALL cops houl be able to get into MENSA, whether they join or not.

And hey, if they don't overtly discriminate, then they create impossible and toxic working environments; they continually change the performance standards, spending inordinate amounts of time testing said standards (years, literally), saying they cannot provide financial performance incentives until the performance standards are finalized; they provide pay that is not even halfway competitive with equivalent jobs in other organizations based on the area's cost of living and value of work performed; and they define employee appreciation as providing periodic luncheons of hot dogs and hamburgers. And then they wonder why the kind of people they retain are the lowest and most lackadaisical performers.

Yup, someone's bitter.
