After going over the basics of money yesterday and today (with a clarifying trip along the way), I'm finally going to print that Peribuck and see how I can spend it.

Excellent post, and reminds to consider local currencies once more :)) I also consider Bitcoin. Out of interest, what's your take on Bitcoin?

Bitcoin? I have no idea what backs them. Some Japanese guy making random online geeks run algorhythms for play money sound awfully suspicious. What is all that number crunching going to produce, an atomic bomb?

Still, when people agree to accept a currency, the currency is accepted and therefore is valuable. I'd prefer currencies be a bit more transparent.

So, you do mention that there may be a "deleterious impact on the community" as a consequence of printing money. How would it come to pass, and when will it not?
