Really, Gov. Huckabee?

David Barton introduced Mike Huckabee at the Rediscover God In America conference, praising him as the epitome of the "Black Robe Regiment" mentality of seeking to apply the Bible to every aspect of the culture.

I had the idea for a fiction story similar to the LEFT BEHIND stories only in it there is no Rapture and instead the radical fundamentalist Christians become more and more paranoid as they see "end times" signs. In response they get control of the government and start waging wars against the "ungodly", setting up sin camps and basically they become the very one world government that they fear. They fulfill the Bible prophecies. Then at the end of seven years of their rule Jesus appears, looks to Heaven and says "Father, forgive them NOT, for they know what they did." (okay the last part is corny)
