togs, togs, togs.

So much to write about, and so little inclination to do anything whatsoever about it. Dunedin was amazing, I didn't feel the earthquakes and my current bus reading is a survey of evidence concerning the ascension of the soul. But here's my favourite NZ commercial since Telecom's sleepy meerkats - I won't even let Chris mute the ad break as usual ( Read more... )

We could have very well have passed him on the street during any of the eight or so hours we spent walking around the little city our last day there, and I probably wouldn't have recognised him, which is sad.

look, the clean and sneaky feelings are playing! if the veralines were too, i'd blow 100,000 frequent flier miles and be there.

I hadn't even heard about this! Now I'm a bit bummed we chose February instead of March - it would have been fantastic to see the Chills as well. And I see Graeme Downes is giving a lecture on the Dunedin sound in the '80s that same day. It's awfully tempting...

The best part is that it never gets old. Kind of like the Flourish trailer, though no one else seems to find it nearly as hilarious as Chris and I do.

(So excited for you to start printing again, also!!)

Ha! Just a bit jealous of all the beautiful things you've been seeing; I'm glad it was a great trip. Have a wonderful Friday!

You, too! The next few days sound like they will be a welcome relief from a hectic schedule - I hope the small breaks from writing (including the conference) make for inspiration. Of course, if you need a larger one when the thesis-writing is all done, New Zealand's always here!

(A proper letter will be sent your way this weekend.)

nz commercials are pretty hilarious ... until you get to the hard-hitting "don't drink and drive" ads. they're full-on.
