I was so excited to see Richard Taylor win for King Kong and to see a couple of clips that had Viggo in them. While we were watching the OSCARS this year, my friend turned to me and said, 'So sad, no LOTR to root for this year.' I agree completely. There will never be another OSCARS like that one!

What helped make it so special was getting to see the extended dvd's and getting to know all the behind the scenes people like Alan Lee and Howard Shore and Ngila Dickson and Richard Taylor and the rest. Because you never know who those makeup artists and costume designers and set designers are, and those can be hard-to-root-for awards.

They're our extended family, when they won, we squeee!!!! ;) I was rooting for Weta for King Kong. ;) And when Narnia won Best Make-up --i was very glad too. :)

But 2/29/04 will never be replicated. :D
