So before I start spamming with quotes, i still really remember the first time I read Book 6 of Rotk. I was really on edge of my seat because at that time I didn't know what was going to happen to Frodo since he got captured by the enemy. AND poor Sam all alone. Ohhhh, the Field of Cormallen. How I loved writing all those stories filled with healing and joy and rest and revelations and wonderful hobbityness and Strider-now-Aragorn-not-yet-King-but-almost. Next to the Shire, that's my Happy Place.

yes that was a great time for fic. I remember talking with Nivina between which healing bed she wants Cormallen or Rivendell for Frodo and we both took each because we love to h/c Frodo so much! :D

I know that on first reading I did not appreciate fully the way Tolkien paints a scene with few, well chosen words.
