THis is my response to PJ's Total Film quote:
As for mixing character moments with action, he says: “What we’re trying to do is have a lot of that conflict and resolution happen during the course of the battle, so it doesn’t just become all action.Read more... )

After you've seen it, you can text me and tell me if I should go or not. lol
I know you will probably have to go so I'm not asking you to do anything you won't already be doing.
Personally, I think that last film was more than I could tolerate. I'm still not looking forward to this one even with all of the news that is out there. I'm going to buy Howard Shore's music of course. That will be lovely as always I'm certain. I'm going to keep enjoying the posters. They are very impressive this time, even more than usual. Then, I think I will sit down and watch the LOTR extended films again. That's my plan right now.

Howard Shore's music is up for preorder as i've messaged you. Yes, it is easy to be depressed by the 2nd movie-- heck i'm not even getting the Extended or the regular dvd... it was just very depressing-- it'll be the first PJ Middle-earth movie i will not own.
The posters do look phenomenal though.

LOL I am actually both excited for and terrified of the third movie!!The second one kept throwing me out of the atmosphere of the Hobbit and I expect the 3rd will do the same thing ,sigh!

Fairly sure we're in for a whole lot of deviation there, yep-I'm actually wondering if Thorin and everyone else who is supposed to die will or we're getting a 'happily ever after'!:/

im excited and terrified too! I will have to watch it but is it in the same excitement as anticipating the 2nd movie? not really... and def notches lower from LotR in the heyday.
I have heard that last 45 minutes will be battle -- i don' tknow how PJ will swing that to make it interesting but that will be definitely stuff that can only be elaborated from the book.

I hope Thorin, Kili and Fili die...if they do not, then its a huge deviation. :p PJ can't do that..........

we will see, precioussss we will see....

I've only seen the first movie, which was pointless enough. I won't be watching the others. Hopefully, the third one actually manages to have some substance (that makes sense) and isn't completely battle filler. *still scratching my head why they made this one tiny book into three movies*

The 1 in 3 was a bit much. It should've been only 2 movies. The second hobbit movie was terrible, i even admit but i will watch the 3rd one just because i want to see how it rounds out.
