Even though I'm not a fan of battles (which PJ can't seem to get enough of), as long as there's enough footage of Bilbo I'll be happy. My heart will always lie with the hobbits. :)
After DoS I'm fresh out of hope. I'm counting on you to go watch this one and then let me know if I should. That's cowardly of me but I really can't get excited this time. Martin Freeman's Bilbo is lovely but in the last film he was over-shadowed by the Elf-Dwarf_Elf romance and healing drama. If the film turns out to be about Thorin and Bilbo and the Battle then I'm there but if it's more of the romance then, I can do without it. Baggins, you are going to be my source for film news because I know you will keep up on all the latest and since you and I had similar reactions to the last film, I know you won't steer me wrong.
I don't think it will focus on Fili and Tauriel but prob a lot of battle because that is PJ's favorite. As Claudia and Shirebound said-- hope that there will be a lot of BIlbo. I agree with your points of expecting more BIlbo if anything to redeem the movie. It still looks kind of promising...at least we get the great demolition of Lake-town and the battles..hope there will be a lot of good Bilbo and Thorin scenes! I"ll keep you updated! :D
I want more intense friendship elements between Thorin and Bilbo! (that was so missing in the second ep) and yeah, I'm with SB, I'll be super happy if there is plenty of Bilbo being hobbity!
