Oh, very good job of reading! Thank you! I love how Bilbo comes to Strider's defense. :)) I can never read this part without wondering what would have happened if Faramir had indeed been the one to come to Rivendell and not his brother.

Thank YOU! I liked that part in the end too.. so fitting for Bilbo to put in that poem even though everything was so tense. A good AU would be to put Faramir who went on to Imladris instead of Boromir. I wonder if there are AU fics addressing this?

I don't know for sure, but I'm willing to bet someone has written a story about Faramir going to Imladris instead of Boromir! It would be an interesting AU.
