The composition of liquid perfumes

Liquid perfumes include classic alcohol-based products and oil-based perfumes. Any liquid perfumery product (PP) consists of a perfumery composition (PC) (a complex of fragrance substances) dissolved in the volume of solvents. The main solvent for the preparation of classic PP is concentrated ethanol (95-96%) or diluted ethanol with water (alcohol of various vol.%). Also, fatty oils and emollients (jojoba oil, isopropyl miristate, fractionated coconut oil etc.) are used as a solvent for the preparation of certain types of perfumes (oil perfumes). The percentage of solvents and PC is selected for each specific product individually. In addition to solvents, antioxidant stabilizers are used in the perfume products to prevent their oxidation and staining, extending their shelf life. To improve the appearance and increase consumer appeal, dyes are added to perfumes.
