Awesome start! I cannot wait to read the rest. I love that Meredith wanted to not do 'the thing' but still couldn't help responding to Lexie's sweetness and vulnerability.

The brunette looked down with a small smirk as just a hint of blush colored her cheeks. "So... it wasn't just my imagination that we were kind of flirting?"
I particularly love this image. I can so picture Lexie with that look on her face.

And I'm glad you picked up on Meredith's torn feelings about whether or not to go there all things considered. My thought was that she would likely see things in Lexie that she could both relate to on one hand, and on the other hand, know that she would probably never have (the openness, the naivety, etc.) and having just been hurt herself, be inclined to protect.

Especially since it's my first Grey's fic in general (and I went through hell this weekend trying to post from my iPad and iPhone and whatever electronic device I could get to work after we lost power due to the snow storm), I'm so glad that you like it and will be posting more soon. Hahaha, omg, I'm so glad you liked that line. I debated back and forth whether or not to put it in, because it was a bit forward for Lexie, but then I remembered: 1. she "gets to be forward" with all that's going on in her life right now, 2. she's a smart girl and knows how to get reactions/results, which is what she wants, and 3. all evidence points to her being quite... involved in the bedroom :p

I'm especially THRILLED that you found their voices to be in-character. Every line of dialogue I wrote, I'd close my eyes and try to picture them saying it. If I couldn't, it went. If I could, I'd keep it. I'm so glad you felt that it paid off.

Hi !

So this is like years and years later yeah I know... but it’s still here which is not common for live journal.

And I wanted to say first of all I’m sorry for all the hypothetical flames comments that happens before. That sucks. But those people don’t appreciate it sooooo...

Anyway I do. I find this pairing strangely fascinating. Especially seeing as at this point they don’t know right so whatever.

My fav part was when there was Lexie asking her “straight” and Meredith is all WHAT THE GAY PANIC and it’s cute.

I love how Lexie is composed and Mer is a mess and I feel like that illustrates their relationship.

About more recent Mer/Lexie, I’ve never written it myself nor will I maybe ever but you never know...

But there’s a chipper new Ao3 author by the name villanellelover13 who writes a bunch of Lexie/Meredith stuff and so if you’re still around their work is neat if you want to check something out and maybe even just feel the validation that there is still a fan base for this femslash.
