teaching in the states requires degrees, which would obviously require going back to school. i also dont think teaching pays well enough (still).

I know how you feel!
I'm also mostly worried about finding a good job that I won't hate once I'm back in Germany. I still don't feel comfortable when I think about moving back, though.
