Love that you're still depicting a realistic & difficult (& yet wonderfully adorable) time for the both of them.

*giggles at Bella getting a tad jealous over Lemmy being thought of (but of course, in her defence, like she stated, during such a time!)

This bit was also brilliantly done!
“So I’m guessing I’m the first person you’ve slept with who isn’t a pure-blood?” Hermione asked inquisitively.

Bellatrix stared. “Is that your not-so-subtle way of asking me if I’ve ever shagged anyone other than Rodolphus?”

Hermione shrugged.

“Well I’m not answering it,” Bellatrix said petulantly, nose in the air. “It’s absolutely none of your business.”

Oh and the 'coy' bit was pretty nice banter too! And oooh, good stuff linking the need for hate in using Crucio, I think I had actually forgotten that fact at the time... Shame, I know!

Well I figure that most new relationships are happy and trouble free, but I just didn't picture that in this situation so it's still quite difficult. Glad you like that!

Yeah I hinted throughout but it was very subtle about the hate/Crucio... wondered if people would pick up on it but I thought I'd make it clear anyhow. :) Thanks for the review as always!

Does she have any memory where she was truly happy? It is not so surprising that Bella focuses on the argument regarding pure blood pride versus thinking about her happiness. thoughts versus emotions, will Bella let her emotions out, is she capable? What would manifest if Bella let go of more control?

Interesting question. I'd say she did, but they were extremely rare. There's one memory in particular I have planned for the future which comes pretty close to that, I'd say.

At the moment when people take control away from Bellatrix she reacts with anger. I'm not sure something like that ever changes... it's hard to let go of control. We'll see.
