And he came finally to the ship, and it was warm and they were dry and safe. They splinted Stephen's leg, and they drank coffee, and ate. And they slept-- safe.

(At least that is what I think.)

Certainly they will live forever in our hearts.

What a beautiful tale of friendship and - despite the cold conditions outside - the warmth of love.
