Try duplicating the photo and setting the layer to 'screen'.

I don't know exactly what that person did to brighten the image. It look slike for sure a screen layer was done, light textures, misc textures. Possibly a color dodge [not at 100% opacity of course] was also maybe done. You can also brighten an image by messing with the curves, brightness/contrast, and as I said above screen layers.

i tryed to play with the curves, brightness/contrast!!
but still it didn't came in the way, i want help with!

when i try to play with the curves the pic becomes soo bright that i'm not being able to see the face at all!
wht do i do? please help me!

That may be the same photoshoot, but that's definitely NOT the same picture. And couldn't be the same quality as the source. Chances are they had a better quality copy of the image. Yours is too dark and lacking some definition. With the right source, screen would probably be the right track though.

No. Her face is in a slightly different position. It's more turned towards the camera in the second one.

And it's not that original, really.

There's a tut here that tells you how to brighten dark pictures. It's basically screen and soft light like other people said to do. If you tweacked it enough you might get a similar effect.
