Did you know that phosphorus contained in Sahara sands is carried over the Atlantic Ocean to help feed the Amazon rainforest?

I have to smile every time I'm reminded of the beautiful systemic complexity of this world. Things do make sense at deeper levels, and there's still so much we don't yet know, or solve, or replicate. I really love that.

Most of all, to me, is the arrogance, every time we discover something, to claim it's the definitive discovery. And also the comfort that there's so much that is still hidden from our eyes. To think that the lung of the planet thrives also thanks to the desert is somehow mind-boggling, isn't it?
