Title: Cereus Category: Smallville Word Count: 1408 Date of Completion: 11 April 2011 Primary Characters: Clark Kent, Lois Lane Rating: PG-13 Setting: Post-S10. Summary: Reflections on Clark and Lois. Notes: Written for jlvsclrk for help_japan, and beta'd by captaindove.
This is beautiful. I love the different analogies, how you compare their feeling and relationship to different things. It's unique and refreshing and simply beautiful.
Wow ... I wish I had enough words to describe how absolutely amazing this is. I absolutely love your Clark voice- it's really spot on. The description of him listening to Lois and how the piano player sounds different was really interesting and creative yet totally realistic.
All the details in the story just blow me away. I really love your Lois too ... the way she sneaks up on him is adorable. Them going flying together is lovely.
Then she kisses his neck, his clavicle, his hands, and he only looks at her with those big, star-spangled eyes as if to say: why me? Beautiful. I can imagine it all too easily.
And I love how you talked about Clark realizing his love for her. I agree that he didn't realize how much he needed or wanted her until she was gone.
there was nothing he had wanted less than to stop loving Lois, though it hurt him. Love that line.
Wow, I am horrified at myself for somehow missing this piece until now. Your stories always reach down and squeeze my heart something fierce. Love this!!
