Ugh.

The biggest nuisance in getting fit is getting used to being hungry. Not real hunger, just that nagging, annoying edge of it that accompanies trending down the input. Having a genetic tendency to hypoglycemia makes my blood sugar a bit wobbly, too, which amplifies the thing and gives all kinds of excuses to give in to whatever craving comes along. Oh, my friend, I can't tell you how much I empathize with this. I've battled with my weight my whole life and while I'm essentially very healthy and in good shape, my body type does not reflect those facts. I keep saying I will my eating habits since I already exercise every single day, but it isn't long before the hunger pangs get the best of me. Or it's someone's birthday. Or a friend feels like baking.

I wish I had a suggestion, but I haven't found anything that works long term. I suspect iron-clad will power, but I've never had that. Best of luck!

I've found that with practice of lots of small intakes, your body gets over the always hungry hump. It's also important to listen to your body at times. If you are craving beef and an entire avocado, I'd find a way to get some protein, preferably thru the avocado in you. It's telling you something. A huge salad with eggs and avocado would be good. Keep in mind there are GOOD fats out there and avocado is one of them.

For me on the hunger thing, I think a good game, but it's like something in me says, "Fuck it, I'll be good tomorrow" and then Nom Nom Nom. I also have to find a way to FORCE myself to eat breakfast. By the time I want it, it's 20 minutes before lunch.

Best of luck to you!

Thanks, you two! It's a slow process, but I'm getting it together, one tiny step at a time.
