Since Kian and I are going out this weekend climbing, we've had to check our kit out (making adjustments here and there). While checking it out Kian's found that his harness didn't fit anymore and I found that my boots didn't fit either.

So off to Cotswold(evil flash based "enhanced" website, that doesn't work nicely for me...) we went. I was

I need to check that my shoes still fit - I bought a pair of five ten climbin shoes back *mumblemumble* years ago whilst I was at university, which I used for a bit of clambering around on the Leeds Uni wall. They're a lovely magenta/lime colour!

My old chalk bag is very eighties too. Retro! Bizarrely the chalk is still in good condition, despite it being in a bag in the loft for the past *mumblemumble* years.

The climbing course I'm doing means that I get 10% off stuff in the shop at the Leeds Wall though, so I might treat myself to some new shoes. :-)

*g* I have climbing gear that's from the early 70s - yours can't be any worse than those bits :)

I used to climb at the Leeds Wall - got a job offer too, shame I was 13 at the time, I would have jumped at it otherwise!

what're you doing in these lessons? I've never really paid any attention to classes being given around me - Dad taught me the rules and I've never had the need for lessons (he was an outdoor pursuits leader for a while - been a climber since Autumn 1969 (he was 19!))
