All the London mob are posting snow photos and going 'oh wow, snow!' and up here in Warwickshire we have had, at best, a light dusting of the stuff.

Not that I'm jealous, 'cuz I hates the snow. I've lost at least two cars driving in the stuff.

Well, Solihull (which used to be in Warwickshire, and still is in some folks' minds) has had a heavyish snowfall, and it's still coming down. Bloody nuisance.

Surely you could go back after it thaws and find them?

Out here in the frozen tundra, today (Monday) was our first day in weeks without any new snow. But it's still piled feet deep on the sides of streets. They're calling this an "old-fashioned winter." I haven't seen a winter quite like it here since the early 1990s. Snow was quite rare in Bedford, as I recall.

A single snowflake and this country comes to a halt.

Yes, I seem to remember that, though it's been well over 30 years. Seriously, my sympathies to those struggling with it over there.
But as long I've lived in this stretch of New York state, I've never become used to the winters. I want it all gone right after Christmas. And it lingers, sometimes even into May.
