Oh. My. Sim! 17 students! Not even me has been close to that. I think I did 12 at the most, including 8 in the Greek House. I cannot even start to imagine what fun mess you had here :)
It was really hard. It took several play sessions since college tends to be tedious if I do it in even one year lumps and college with seventeen sims was hair pulling.
Between never wanting to do that again and the population explosion I've decided all future sims are practicing pre-arranged marriages and sucking it up. Did you play with your not-related-neighbor once when you were kids? Great, you're getting married. Do you have brothers and sisters? Well you have a chance of living alone then. Too many sims. Everywhere.
