One small point, though I do like your interpretation....

When the bible was translated the word "men" could mean people in general. It was a common usage, as it is in the constitution where it says that
"All men are created equal..." In these cases men refers to all humans, or people.

:-)

I saw this comment come in, and was thinking "What did I post?"

I can see that interpretation, and am trying not to be disrespectful toward those who do believe..

But I'm also at odds over the..vehemence that tends to follow the "Get them homer-sexuals out of our state" that seems to be abounding in the gov. It's hard to balance the two in my head.

Thanks for the clarification. :-)

Just to clarify my clarification...

:) It was just about an older usage of the word "men."

I don't like the position that many are taking that those of alternate sexuality are "wrong" or "immoral". I don't think there *is* anything wrong or immoral about not being exactly the same as everyone else.

my pissy answer is that back then women were still considered property, just as one would consider cattle. I think there are laws somewhere about killing gay cattle as well. perhaps we females fall under that heading...

my logical answer is "what desidera said"

I was corrected that there is reference to women with women, in the New Testament.

But yeah, what Desidera said.
