So I have designs to update more often...and they are all dashed. Life will not leave me alone, and it's all terrible. Mr. Minty got a new job with a night time shift, which means I cook two dinners every night and do more housework. He's off today, so I'm trying to get this post finished before it's back to the grind. However, this downtime has

I should lock them in cages once a week to see if I get more time. And yeah - I don't cook on Christmas either. We have an antipasto platter with cold meat. Screw cooking when it's 40 degrees, and it's a celebration for women too.

Congrats to Mr Minty on his new job and I hope he's enjoying it.
Your idea sounds like "a thing like what Ms Harris would do." It really fits with her previous works.
As for T Rex... He struck me as a good image manipulator. His "I'm simple and honest, me" routine just didn't sit with the rest of him (i.e. His successful position, his involvement with high ranking vamps, etc.) he struck me as someone with ambition and the capabilities to get there. I like him for the role of Freyda's 2nd.

He's loving it, which is good.
I think it does too - and it would completely blindside most people, and be something that Sookie could get involved in, so we know about it all.
He is a good image manipulator - and like Sookie, I want to get around inside his head and poke around. He's someone who seems to like the high life and "fast women" and that's an aspect of vampire life. Not only that, but he seems to have no concrete ties to the mortal world - no family, nothing to hold him back.

As much as I love Sookie, she is not the best narrator. I wish CH would continue the series from someone else' POV

I think that Sookie is probably the best narrator. Eric wouldn't ever think about the implications of things - he reacts, and he doesn't moralise. Same thing with all the vampires. Shifters would be from shifter's viewpoints, and we'd know nothing about vampires. And from a second person viewpoint, Sookie's actions wouldn't make any sense - she'd constantly have to tell the narrator why she was veering off or ducking her head down in a car to listen to Arlene and Sandra conspiring.

With my sketchy knowledge of Latin (and help from Google) I know Rex means king. It's well hidden behind the big 'T' and, unlike you, most people would just swiftly accept it for what it is - a stage-name. He'd be massive PR like you say and good with the media. Pro wrestling is all about the image and the hype and he'd be able to bring that in buckets. So maybe he'd literally be 'Rex' - again in name only.
Plus all that work (or steroids) to get your body into that shape (small arms aside) it must be tempting to him to be able to keep that physique forever. I can see lots of compatibility on both sides.

Ha! I didn't even think about Rex being King. It would be sly of CH to hide it in plain sight like that. But yeah - he's already a popular violent guy - I'm sure he's mastered being popular for smashing chairs over his opponents heads, he can generate good PR for vampires.
I think that's part of the reason why Sookie finds him so fascinating - and as well, he'd be used to fighting, so he'd be as much protection as making your own Sigebert, but with brains to back it up.
