Yes, I did. I saw Howard Zinn speak last night. This man has been one of my idols since high school, when my amazing American history teacher Mrs. Piechnik had us read his book, a People's History of the United States, in addition to the textbook. It was vastly more informative than the state-sanctioned BS, and I've been an admirer ever since

Are you kidding? The whole Left feels that Israel is in the wrong. A lot of 'em don't even think Israel has a right to exist. It's just an imperialist state forced onto the native Arab population. Yeah.

That is totally awesome that you got to see Howard Zinn. I, too, have found myself having too-high expectations for famous famous people who speak here, but I'm glad overall it was a good experience.

ok sarah, im jealous. i read "a people's history.." in my ap class, as well as various other pieces from zinn. i think the man's brilliant and forever i will remember him for making my thinking change completely about history.
