Entering the Un-Ordinary . . .

We found it on Main Street: a ramshackle old house with peeling green paint, stained glass windows, and a large wooden sign hung above the front porch proclaiming, "UN-ORDINARY." Below the porch, half-hidden in the bushes, a smaller sign announced with perfect banality, "FOR RENT."

Who wouldn't be intrigued? We inquired. An elderly lady answered ( Read more... )

Sounds like a very lovely apartment.

Speaking as a fan of both Apples to Apples and 1000 Blank Cards, I may have to check out Munchkin now.

So I went to Gaming Club on Monday and this visiting alum brought Munchkin with him. I played it.

I have to say it was indeed extraordinarily fun. I've never seen such bizarre and outlandish bargaining in gameplay before. Some of the cards are amazing, too.

It did take three and a half hours, though.

I can't believe I never had you play Munchkin when we were at Marlboro. I've owned Star Munchkin for years. It is perhaps one of my favoritest games also.

I'm a bit confused by your post, however. Are you no longer in Burlington? Have you moved to one of the surrounding towns? If you were still in Burlington, I would've expected "five minute walk from the center of downtown Burlington" or something like that. The lack of specificity has made me wonder.

Also, I hope that it's easy to clean carpeting. Goodness knows how much I spill when I cook.

Ah, I am moving to a surrounding town May 1. It's a five minute walk to the center of THAT town, and an easy bike ride to the park and ride that will take me to Burlington. :-)

What an amazing name for a house.

By the way, I found you rather randomly, but you seem rather interesting. Any interest in being LJ friends? A quick glance-over of my profile should give you a decent concept of me.

Friended. ;-) I'm not sure how interesting I am to people not me, but I bet I'd like looking at photography and reading about a long list of interests which also interest me.
