So I'm still going to school and am working at Michael's (which is great and I can walk to work-- although, granted that would be more awesome if it weren't over 100 degrees out every day).

Class is going well except there's a lot of drama with my current group. So much drama. We work in groups in class for the "labs" which is normally good and ( Read more... )

Oh, guh. Everything you're baking sounds AMAZING. *drools*

Can't keep myself from rolling my eyes at your lab partners, though. Seriously???

I purposely keep my hair "long"--but not as long as you--so I can put it up when I get hot. I absolutely can't stand having it touching my neck when I get hot (and given that I'm up in 100+ degree greenhouses a lot, year round, hot is always a possibility for me), and I'm not willing to get it cut short enough that it couldn't touch my neck, so long it is. It's about at my shoulder blades right now.

Getting it cut to just long enough to pull up was the other option and I was leaning towards that until this week and now I'm just like screw it, let's hack it all off. It is no longer down to my waist, it was getting too heavy for me to wear it up easily for long periods so I took scissors to it at two am the other night and now it's just under my collar bone. I can cut my own hair so long as it's fairly long (there's an awkwardly worded sentence) which is what I've been doing for the last couple of years. Before that my roommates and I would cut each other's hair. Until now (now that I've got a fair number of hours work each week) it just hasn't seemed like a financially viable thing to do. I know a lot of people at school who talk about not knowing how they're going to pay for tuition and go and get their hair professionally died and get regular mani-pedis and other salon/spa things and I just want to shake them and be like "WHERE ARE YOUR PRIORITIES?" Not that people shouldn't treat themselves now and again, but... It's kind of an ( ... )
