Sad though. But it's great to be heard. I'm happy that even with all the trolls, demoralizing of the participants from other forums, and the struggle to get our voices out there, we did it.
Like you both, I'm disappointed that nothing will change, but also very glad that the appreciation part of the campaign was successful.
I won't go into too much detail about my feelings about the trolls, the people who made it a point to discourage participation, or the ones that continue to misdirect their anger and disappointment toward the wrong people, because then I will end up making an extremely long rant. Fortunately, they mostly keep themselves to other forums.
I've been lurking and not really actively participating lately, but I hope this LJ group stays active for awhile. Even though I know I'm currently guilty of not working to keep it active myself by posting or leaving comments because I've been wrapped up in some real life things, I'd hate to see it die
