Because they are. It's fact. We're the most advanced and progressive nation in my world, closely followed by the Earth Kingdom. The Water Tribes are just primitive.

Not just me; they don't believe the nature of the community at all at first. It's hardly surprising, but that doesn't mean I like dealing with it.

Again, it's mostly about expansion, not believe. And no, it doesn't sound barbaric at all.
