I totally hated it. I thought the writing was terrible and the main character completely wooden. The movie actually makes the material look somewhat interesting. Remember that series the Vampire Diaries by LJ Smith? I have the urge to read those books again (I also remember a series she did about these teens that are psychic or something).

And yes, Bella is the WORST female lead I've ever read. She is so colorless!! God, I could go on for hours how much I hated this series.

I should just write a YA vampire series and make millions. Apparently authors don't have to write well in order win praise anymore. If only I had better grammer and spelling skills. :P

Yes, I think we did. I think you were more into the vampire ones, but I do remember the psychic school series (though I can't, for the life of me, remember the title of that one). Yes, you should totally write a new series that blows Twilight out of the water. I'd read it!

I was never a fan of vampires either, but I'm pretty sure it's because there isn't much fiction out there that makes them interesting. Anne Rice came close, and I just recently read the Vampire Chronicles and I really enjoyed the first two. Queen of the Damned wasn't as good, but I read it because Louise and Lestat reunite after reading each others books. I've become such a Louise & Lestat fan girl it's sick.
