So, I sort of disappeared off the face of the planet there for a while. School has been, it turns out, really time consuming -- who knew!
I've been spending a lot of time searching for My Next True Fandom after Stargate: Atlantis, and to be honest, I haven't had much success.

Boardwalk Empire rocks my socks with its class and wit and period costumes, and makes me happy every week to see female characters that smart and skilled at dealing with other humans. The Good Wife features Josh Charles and his lips, and is basically competency porn since everyone's really, really good at their jobs and is seen putting time and effort into research and preparation for their court cases. Eureka is still funny and charming and cheerful, but I haven't gotten to the fourth season yet.
I still follow House, mostly to keep up with the conversation. And now that I've got the first five seasons of Supernatural, I'm starting back from the beginning and working my way towards ( ... )

I think maybe it's not addressed because other people aren't seeing it that way. Eames calling Arthur a stick in the mud with no imagination could be an artist disdaining a technician, or it could be an improviser making fun of a planner, or it could be a flirt expressing irritation with a reserved guy who's always focused on work, etc. Interpretation!
Not that I have a dog in this hunt, I'm only peeking in on Inception fandom now and then; I philosophically differ from the emphasis on commentfic. So hard to find things.
Anyway, if you do get interested in it again, sabinetzin has written several fics that focus on Ariadne.
Your cartoons are great as always; I especially love the adorable Parker and Hardison.

I find that if I really like a canon source, I get much worse at reading the slash. :)
And thank you for the links! I will check those out.

Yeah... I just didn't get that from it, and that's when I saw it opening week, not knowing it was going to become this fannish craze; I saw Eames as amused, tossing off light insults, fondly antagonistic (in a way I tend to associate with British guys particularly-- my English friends are always talking shit about their friends in a teasing way.) Especially since later they joke with each other during the job (about Arthur leading the projections on a merry chase) and Arthur smiles and Eames grins enormously. *hands* Anyway, you're not alone in the more combative interpretation, so maybe there will be more angles on the characters eventually.
