I never picked up on that saving fic thing, until my favorite RW/YST fic vanished from the internets! My track record is clearly just not good with this fandom. (Learned my lesson when it came to Highlander though, that's for sure. :))
Would it be better to be a Christmas thing like Yuletide, or maybe give it a different deadline? There are a lot of Christmas fic exchanges, wouldn't want to swamp people; frex, I assume you're doing Yuletide.
Hmm! Well, I was picturing low key and informal. It would not be very high turnout, probably? Unless I am wrong? I mean, first impression, just an image minus planning - I had this image of a post, and then so and so has commented with her dreamy wishlist. Then so and so replies to someone else's dreamy wishlist, "I think I can help you out there."
On that low key vein, deadline was more like, "Post it sometime in January!" The trick is, Christmas and yuletide exchanges provide a wave of happy motivation and excitement, and it would be sad not to ride a little bit of the aftershocks.
And that is about how much planning I can manage at any given time.
Ronin Warriors/Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, an anime from the late 80s. It's cheesy, cheesy dub is available in its entirety on youtube. Just in case you wanted the chance to squint skeptically and wonder what I was thinking when I got hooked on it. :)

It seems I had pretty bad taste back then, though.

Rowen is still sad.

Still, it sucks your fandom didn't make it to the yuletide list.

I'd be up for a fic exchange. (Although I haven't seen the series in years and I'd have to rewatch, first.)
