I don't know what fandom Polar Bears in Armor is but it sounds cool! Have you read any of Pat Wrede's other novels?

I was guessing that Polar Bears in Armour, as a fandom, is pretty much just centred around Iorek Byrnison and all things equally awesome. I could have been wrong, but it's too late to take my vote back.

Who is Iorek Byrnison?

Iorek Byrnison is the king (literally) of the Panserbjorn, or armoured polar bears, in Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials. He is intelligent, noble, ferocious, wonderfully alien (no Lewis-like humans-who-just-look-like-woodland-critters here), a skilled smith, and totally, unutterably awesome.
