I've been seeing a lot of birds lately, too. I know it's spring and all, but this is the first time in years I've actually noticed them, I guess. I used to be a birdwatcher when I was a kid, but I gave it up because I thought it was too dorky. I actually saw a heron flying overhead as I was driving home the other day, and that was pretty cool. There's a red-tailed hawk that lives somewhere near my workplace that I see from time to time, and the other day at the bank I saw a whole bunch of cedar waxwings (like five or six) eating the berries off of a bush.

Neat, I have no knowledge of birds beyond recognizing cartoon representations, sometimes. I still can't even believe flamingos are real animals. I think birdwatching could be fun

those first two birds sound like total creepers
especially with the way the first one stared you down...
haha

p.s.
were there never anymore minis? did i completely miss out? will my life now be a sad black hole?

haha, yeah, that first bird had me totally speechless. I wanted to call out to have my friend look at it, but I was kinda petrified.

and there WILL be more minis this summer. I just finished college a couple weeks ago, so I'll have time to make more. I'm aiming for at least 50, which I imagine has to exceed the demand this time.

ah, okay, good. i was just worried i had completely missed the boat. THIS TIME I WILL GET ONE.

hahaha, awww. the second one too, what the hell! i've had birds in front of me jump around like that cos i'm still walking that way and they are trying to get away but are too lazy to go farther than one bush, but behind you? that is creepy...

or adorable. i'm not really sure which.

The tier of you and Lauren is my favorite passage. I love how the little guy is too shy to talk to you!

Perfect end panel as well.

Thank you, I like that one a lot, too. That little bird followed us for a few blocks, too.

Nice stuff! Great colours, and I love how you work in the different bird encounters, weave in the story from your childhood without over-explaining it.

Manien and I put out some seed for birds in the morning, and they are our breakfast entertainment. This week it is the young/teen birds who are especially fun.

Thank you, Jason. I liked how the narrative worked out with this one. I was hoping it would all come together with some semblance of a point.

I really want to build a birdhouse one day.

PS- my girlfriend and I saw two birds engaged in an erotic dance yesterday, it was nuts!
