Hello! This afternoon I had a fight with a huge thistle bush. We broke even.

I am sure you are some kind of nature goddess. I get nervous if I have to touch grass.

I am experimentally allowing thistles in a few spots this year, for the sake of the bees, butterflies, etc. I don't think it counts as anything godlike!
Anyway, thistles play fair: they are prickly all over, but won't grab at you and stick broken thorn points into you like roses do.
I wonder whether you may not like touching mint or lavender flowerheads...
