Well, this must have been tricky as hell to write, but the result is (unsurprisingly) amazing. How hard it is to come home. How difficult to re-tune oneself to the pitch of the time that passed in one's absence. Even harder to do it in tandem with someone else. I like what you say about Mycroft's appeal. It is his relationship with Sherlock that stops him being unlikeable. Without that he would have no sign of a heart. If only Sherlock could respond less harshly. I rather hope canon never explains exactly what's between them, as it's such rich ground for speculation.

John's going to be a bit confused now they're home. Just what exactly does supporting Sherlock mean??
