Guys.  The shit has hit the fan.

The actor playing Hades went into the ER at the asscrack of dawn on Thursday, and went into emergency surgery later that night.  He had some kind of horrible gastro-intestinal thing, where part of his intestine flipped over, died, and started to rot.  Also, the twist obstructed everything in the digestive system.  ( Read more... )

Major suck! Argh, you'll get through it though. My friend was stage managing a community theater show a few months ago and one of the leads died of a random and sudden heart attack just after Tech Sunday. There are worse things. I hope your actor is okay!
Yay for going home! Are you going to be around at all between June 11-17? I'm going home for my brother's graduation and would love to see you after.... three years now. Oops.
Also, I fell into the same "grinds her teeth too much" category, too, along with having an off-set jaw due to wisdom teeth from a few years ago. They want me to get a night guard and braces. Hell to the no.
I think I'm just going to start sleeping with my rugby mouth guard in; it's formed to my mouth and cost about $6. I recommend it.

Good lord... what it it about theater that attracts disaster? He actually will be okay, though, which is great; if he hadn't caught it in time, things could have gotten really ugly, so we're all happy about that.
Wow, June 11th-17th is like the only time I will actually be home over the summer! Amazing. Let's break our lame streak and do something zesty!

Rugby guard, huh? I'm definitely going to check this out.

Oh my god! That is horrifying.

Your play will still be wonderful, though, I am sure. I told Eppie to give you a hug from me, but you should also give her a hug from me. ^^

Nooooooo!! The Lord of the Underworld can't have gastro-intestinal troubles! Poor guy - sounds like he's on the mend though, which is, you know, a positive. In any case, I promise to care about your play and maybe weep a bit the ending. Heh.

Aaaaand health care in this country sucks. A LOT. But I love youuuuuuu and have already spoken with your mama - we'll be down on Friday night!!!! I have a big hug from Jessica waiting for you, currently it is curing and should be well-seasoned by the time I get there. Bee zoo!!
