Just wanted to let you know I follow this fic closely, and it is great ! You keep everyone in character and likeable. I feel a little bad for Jeff, but I think he'll be fine. Great job, and keep on writing, I can't wait til the next update !

Thank you for reviewing! I really do try hard with the characters, so it's always nice to hear that I'm handling them well. Yeah, nothing gets Jeff down for long (well, except for his dad leaving). I'm going to start the next chapter today, but not sure when I'll post it.

Most of this chapter made me so sad!! Everyone is miserable and not talking and tensions were so high! It actually made me upset reading it and I was frowning at my computer screen! (that's how invested in this story I am, I can not control or school my facial expressions when reading your story! But that's what great writing does, it makes you not only feel for the characters and what they're going through, but it makes YOU FEEL what they are feeling too!) But, I was smiling at the end, and thank god for that because the knot of tension in my stomache was not going to go away if you'd ended the chapter as angsty and awkward as parts of it was. But, since it ends on a happy note with things finally on an upswing, my coveted Troy icon is once again making an appearance :D ( ... )

Thank you for the awesome compliment on my writing! I love when I'm able to evoke an emotional reaction in my readers. While this chapter ended on a bright note, I agree that most of it was just kind of dark and dreary. Oh, the webs that people weave when they don't communicate properly. And, I do so love that icon ( ... )

"I know that I had a lot of complaints on fanfiction.net about Jeff being OOC because of how angry he's been during the current day segments, but I'm hoping that chapter 9 and this one went a long way to explaining why he's been so upset the entire time ( ... )

Exactly. I know that I've been particularly horrible to Jeff in this story, and I actually do like his character. I was Annie/Jeff before I switched over to Annie/Abed. The fact that he essentially gave Abed his blessing at the end of this chapter shows a really wonderful side to his personality given that he still cares about Annie. He will get a small bit of vindication soon, although I can't say any more than that right now.

This is a great chapter for making my heart clench in that lovely way that is the reason why I read romance novels. It's one that is maybe not the best chapter on it's own, but I suspect that later, when I reread the whole story in one sitting, it will end up my favorite.

I really like the line you are walking of having Abed put through effort while remaining himself. And you have the strong Britta and Annie friendship again, which I love. I also think Jeff has grown to a point in the show where he can feel hurt and upset but put it aside because he wants his friends to be happy and he recognizes that he isn't the way.

Yes, this chapter definitely depends on the rest of the story to work right. And it was certainly fairly sad in certain places.

I always think of Abed as someone who tries to stay uninvolved, but who, upon deciding to get involved, would have almost a single-minded determination to get what he wants. It's just getting him to the point where he decides he wants it (or her, in this case). And I really think that he would be very strategic about how he got it. If anyone can understand what Annie's dealing with after the whole night at Jeff's, it's definitely Britta. It just makes sense that they would bond over it. Yes, Jeff is showing some of the same maturity that made him stand up for Shirley in the season 3 finale.
