Shamelessly borrowed and modified from
mugenmine. Yearly fannish retrospectives are fun and useful for looking at where we've been and where we're going, and this past year saw a huge shift in my arting that was beyond my wildest imagination. I hope 2013 is just as surprising and interesting. I also really want to improve.

Pennswoods, what kind of art training do you have? I've always meant to ask you that. Ever since -- Infinitus, I think -- when I saw your tea towels that you stenciled with two-toned, shaded captions.
My art/craft schedule (quilting, yay!) is getting in the way of my doing other art. I just want to make stuff! And am so happy to be quilting again.

I have had more acting training than art training. :P Although that might not be entirely true. I went to a summer art class when I was in elementary school one year. I don't know where I picked up on the two-tone shaded lettering, but that's something I've done for a good long time when making signs and doing hand lettering.
It's so exciting that you're so busy crafting/quilting! Do you have fandom goals for your art this year?

I hadn't thought about my crafts in terms of fandom goals, but then I realized I want to back and quilt the OT3 tops I made last year and I want to do a bunch of Cabin Pressure pottery. Most of my fandom goals this year are for writing meta, and the quilting goals are mostly non-fannish.

You mean you don't have a fandom goal to knit more TARDIS socks or to come up with a clever pair of mittens that reflect people's OTPs? I don't know why I haven't posted the OTP mittens on Tumblr yet. OTP mittens seem like the greatest and most clever thing!

I blame Ben too. Just in general. For everything.
ETA: I keep forgetting that I have a Sherlock icon now. Heh.
