I was spurred by a fellow violinist into getting mine out of its case on Saturday, for the first time in nearly two years of being too ill to play. And it didn't even sound completely awful!
On a not-at-all unrelated note, I can walk properly again, and use my hands, and I am so relieved and happy about that, if still a little bit incredulous. Yay for magic medicine!
Didn't sound completely awful? Excellent. As a former violinist myself, I sometimes wonder why the hell I didn't just stick with piano. At least being in tune depends entirely on the instrument.
Very minor cheerful news: tonight my pub quiz group came in third (out of 16 teams). Tonight's team names included Alternative Facts, Clarissa Didn't Explain Shit, and My Dog Is Pissed That We Left.

I have read over and over about the ceaseless self-seeding of black violas, but so far have not achieved it.
